People tend to let their guards down on Facebook and similar sites, and crooks are taking advantage of that. In one scam, thieves privy to private details of users pose as relatives making desperate pleas for money. Old high school classmates aren't the only ones making connections on Facebook. The crooks are too.

What Things To Try To Find In Your Next Dojo
Picking a fighting styles school can be quite a challenging task. There are so many considerations, and asking friends can only get you a mishmash of different responses. Many people are loyal to his or her very own school, or should be, and of course will recommend it to anybody who’ll listen. So, at the risk of repeating what’s been said many times before, let us begin: Determine what type you wish to study, and if undecided, visit a number of schools. Most schools will offer a free school or two, so take full advantage of those offers and see what catches your attention. Keep in mind the differences between schools and types, and even between schools teaching the same model. Understand that some schools really aren’t teaching what they promote. What are you after in a martial art? There are so many possibilities: Fitness, versus self-defense, versus control, versus breaking boredom: Are you looking for the control of a traditional martial art, or the real-life application of a combat kind of fighting? Maybe your purpose is to take part in competitions and fighting styles exhibits. Site, area, location: If classes are three times a week, then traveling 50 miles each way would probably not be the ideal situation for you. Of course, if you check out the BJJ Naples locations you will see that gyms are over Southwest Florida – the same goes for other locations across the country! Find out if the school you’re enthusiastic about is affiliated with a larger organization and is approved. I can’t tell you how many ninjitsu schools I have seen which have no formal affiliations whatsoever. Anybody could call themselves and open a school a ninja! Examine the school’s recovery rate. Should they have a large amount of students rotating through, there might be a problem. Of course, all schools will have some kind of return rate to some degree or another. A large amount of folks are testing the waters. Some individuals are determined to take a martial art, but once started, decide to quit. Some schools train in cooperation with local colleges and universities, just what exactly seems to be a significant recovery charge is basically the end of the school term.
How long is the Statute of Limitations in this case…? (State of Oregon)?
Question by *Tee*Tee*: How long is the Statute of Limitations in this case…? (State of Oregon)?
Okay, someone was CITED (not arrested) for Identity Theft. (It shouldn’t even be “Identity Theft” because it was something really small.) The court date was set but the person moved out of state before knowing the court date. (Not smart.)
My question is… How many years until it’s history?
Also, how should they go about taking care of it since they’re out of state and can’t get back there?

Get pulled over by a cop, wait for them to pull up the warrent for the arrest. if the jurisdiction that this person left wants them they will come and get them, if not then you don’t have to worry about a statute of limitations. they are free and clear right then and there. but in the case of a charge that has gone to a judge and not been resolved, in the event of a misdomeanor it is normal 7 years for a statute, but if it is felony charge if would be in the ballpark of 15 years.

Free cruise? Was this a scam?
Question by : Free cruise? Was this a scam?
A couple weeks ago, this number labeled as (000)-000-000, called me and offered me a free cruise (with a value of over $ 500) if I completed a survey over the phone. So I did it and then I was connected to an actual person who asked for my name, phone number and postal code. I gave them my moms name.
A week later, an actual number called. My mom picked up. They claimed that they were the “Canadian Cruise Line”. They were telling my mom all kinds of stuff like, “You’re going to be going to the Great Bahama’s Islands, free dinner, free entertainment, horse back riding in the beach and more. It was an actual person. Then he said that there was a pilots governments fee or whatever (I forgot what it’s called) but the 2 passengers were to pay $ 118 each for something. So the total would be $ 237 for a 7-day cruise to the bahamas? Then my mom told me to take the phone because I was better at english, so I took it. He then said, “Do you know if you are going to be paying with VISA, DEBIT, MASTERCARD?”. I said I didn’t know yet. There was a huge pause. Then he said, “Can I speak to the person in advantage of this free cruise?”.. So I gave the phone back to my mom and he asked for her credit/debit card number and other information. My mom said, “My husband has my stuff, maybe you can send me an email or give me the address to your headquarters?”. He hung up.
Okay, well obviously this was a scam, right?
Isn’t this illegal? Like something to do with fraud…

Tell her right now.
Never to fall for scams. Never consider giving out a credit card number or bank details to anyone under the sun that calls you.
If you want a cruise, go to cruises.com and get one on the cheap.
No one takes them in the months of July and August due to hurricaines, you can get them very cheap
